The Board of Directors of Washington Trust Bancorp, Inc ., (NASDAQ Global Select: WASH), parent of the Washington Trust Company, Rhode Island's largest independent bank, today declared a quarterly dividend of 21 cents per share for the quarter ending March 31, 2009. The dividend will be paid on April 14, 2010 to shareholders of record on March 31, 2010.
