NEW YORK (TheStreet) -- These days, the pool of frightening stories about runaway Toyota(TM) vehicles seems to be growing deeper by the day, as yet another runaway Toyota Prius appears to have run amok in New York Tuesday night.

On Monday, a terrified 61-year old Prius driver found himself in the national spotlight after his accelerator got stuck and took his car to a speed of 94 mph on a San Diego Highway. Fortunately, he was corralled to safety with the help of highway patrolmen.

And then, Tuesday night, another runaway Prius reared went on a rampage, according to reports.

Reports say that a woman, 56 years old, was backing out of a driveway in Harrison, N.Y., when her 2005 Prius [pictured above] suddenly accelerated out of control and brought her crashing into a stone wall. According to reports, the ensuing damage was substantial, but no one was seriously hurt.

Toyota announced Tuesday that it is planning to issue a recall of its 2004 to 2009 Prius models following the runaway Toyota Prius incident on Monday.
