KSW Reports 2009 Profits And Revenue
KSW, Inc. (NASDAQGM: KSW) today reported preliminary year end financial results for 2009.
Net income for 2009 was $1,270,000, or $.20 per share (basic) and (diluted), compared to 2008 net income of $4,239,000, or $.68 per share (basic) and $.67 per share (diluted).
Revenue in 2009 was $64,494,000, as compared to $93,027,000 in 2008.
As of December 31, 2009, the Company’s backlog was approximately $121,500,000, as compared to $62,500,000 as of December 31, 2008.Chairman of the Board, Floyd Warkol, commented: “While the current economic conditions have reduced private sector construction opportunities, our backlog has increased significantly as we have been able to secure important public and institutional projects, such as the World Trade Center Chiller Plant and Mount Sinai Center for Science and Medicine. We will continue to pursue opportunities in those sectors during 2010.” About KSW KSW, Inc., through its totally-owned mechanical subsidiary KSW Mechanical Services, Inc., furnishes and installs heating, ventilating and air conditioning (HVAC) systems and process piping systems for institutional, industrial, commercial, high-rise residential and public works projects.
