3Com Modernizes The IT Infrastructure Of Brazil’s Federal Department Of Justice With H3C Enterprise Networking Solution

3Com Corporation (Nasdaq: COMS) today announced it has won another new million dollar project in the Latin America federal market. The Federal Department of Justice selected 3Com® and its H3C® enterprise networking solutions after a careful competitive bid to determine the best price-performance networking solution available for modernizing the Republic’s Attorney General’s offices.

The network upgrade project will include the following 3Com solutions:

• 140 H3C S7500E next-generation high-end multi-service routing switches in the distribution layer;
• 50 *H3C S5600 Gigabit stackable switches at the network edge; and
• H3C Intelligent Management Center (IMC) network management software.

Working with its H3C channel partner, Redisul, 3Com will initially install equipment in 44 Federal Department of Justice’s regional branches.
