Kathleen Ruane Joins DiGennaro Communications As Executive Director

NEW YORK, Feb. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- DiGennaro Communications today announced the hiring of advertising industry communications executive Kathleen Ruane. Ms. Ruane, who joins from Draftfcb, serves as Executive Director, a newly created position at the four-year-old public relations agency.

At Draftfcb, Ms. Ruane was Senior Vice President, Corporate Communications. During her two-plus years there, she oversaw communications for the NY office and played a corporate advisory role to top executives including CEO Laurence Boschetto.  

Prior to that, she managed media relations at some of the nation's leading marketing communications agencies, as well as created and executed media strategies around numerous significant events. As Senior Vice President, Corporate Communications at Bozell, she oversaw the repositioning of the agency from a global network to a creative boutique.

After Bozell's parent company True North Communications was sold to The Interpublic Group of Companies and the agency merged into sibling Lowe, Ms. Ruane developed communications around the newly-merged agencies' relaunch and the introduction of its revamped leadership team including the appointment of CEO Tony Wright. She started her career at BBDO and has also worked at Y&R.
