Dan Silver To Head Panasonic Home & Health Company As President

SECAUCUS, N.J., Jan. 27 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Dan Silver has been appointed President, Panasonic Home & Health Company (PHHC), which is based in Secaucus, NJ and a unit of Panasonic Corporation of North America.  With this appointment, immediately effective, Silver heads the company, which includes the Home Appliance Group, (microwaves, irons, vacuums); the Wellness Group (massage chairs, shavers, beauty products); and Panasonic Home & Environment Company, which sells ventilation fans.  Silver succeeds Sam Takahashi, who has relocated to Japan to serve as Director of the Healthcare Business Unit at Panasonic Shikoku Electronics Company.

Silver, who speaks fluent Japanese, has been with Panasonic since March 1985 and was previously the Director of the Home Appliance Group for one year.  During his time as Director, Silver was a key proponent in promoting the company's microwave, irons and bread makers and he secured the prestigious Good Housekeeping Seal of Approval for 63 Home Appliances products.  He also initiated a relationship with The Culinary Institute of America, whose Certified Master Chefs developed recipes exclusively for Panasonic's Inverter Microwaves.  Silver has previous experience in Panasonic's Wellness Group, as well as in the Systems and Automotive Sectors.  Silver is a resident of West Caldwell, NJ.
