Hormuud Telecom Extends Microwave Backbone Through Addition Of Harris Stratex Networks Technology

(Nasdaq: HSTX), a leading provider of wireless solutions that enable the evolution of next-generation fixed and mobile broadband networks, today announced that Hormuud Telecom Somalia, Inc., placed an order for 100 of its high capacity Eclipse™ radios, increasing the existing installed base by 50 percent.  Established in 2002 to address a telecommunications market gap in Somalia, Hormuud Telecom Somalia, Inc. is headquartered in Mogadishu, and currently serves over one million subscribers.

The new deployment is part of a long standing relationship between Harris Stratex and Hormuud Telecom, which has already installed over 200 Eclipse series radios.
