Small Businesses Shake Off 2009 Blues

While most analysts see car sales improving this year, most models still won't fly off the lots. A large part of the Detroit Auto Show is PR and showmanship. But the recession forced companies of all sizes to reinvent their business models. Forced to make do with less, they have streamlined production and found leaner, meaner ways of doing business.

Now it's time to show off the results. If stiff competition caused you to reorient your brand, explain how and why that makes your customers' lives better. Highlight the ways you've become more efficient. Let your clients know you're offering a new business model for 2010, then invite them to come along for the ride.
