EDCI Holdings, Inc. Appoints John Fitzgerald As Chief Operating Officer And Managing Director Of Its EDC GmbH Subsidiary

 

NEW YORK, Jan. 8 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- EDCI Holdings, Inc. (Nasdaq: EDCI) ("the Company"), the holding company for Entertainment Distribution Company, Inc., the majority shareholder of Entertainment Distribution Company, LLC ("EDC"), a European provider of supply chain services to the optical disc market, today announced the appointment of John Fitzgerald as Chief Operating Officer and Managing Director of EDC's German operating subsidiary, Entertainment Distribution Company GmbH ("EDC GmbH"), effective January 11, 2010.

Mr. Fitzgerald has over 30 years of international professional experience.  He has spent the last 20 years providing financial management, strategic planning, and business development services to companies in the consumer goods industry.  Most recently, from 2003 – 2009, he served as Managing Director of Cinram GmbH.  From 1989 – 2002, Mr. Fitzgerald served in various financial and executive positions within Warner Music Manufacturing Europe GmbH.  Mr. Fitzgerald holds a Bachelor Degree in Business Studies from the University of Central Queensland.
