Regardless of why a stock is in the news, it never hurts to hear what a professional investor has to say about it. The key is to gather as much information as you can in order to make the most informed investment decisions you can. As Jim Cramer often reminds, investors must do their homework.

So what has Cramer had to say lately about today's headline-makers? At Stockpickr, we've combed through his recent RealMoney blog posts, "Mad Money" TV show recaps and "Stop Trading!" segments to find out what he thinks about some of today's newsworthy stocks.

AIG(AIG): According to The Wall Street Journal, a potential Hong Kong buyer of AIG's Taiwan life insurance unit hopes to submit another application for the $2.15 billion deal next week.

In a post yesterday to his RealMoney blog, Cramer wrote: "Finally people are realizing that AIG is like Fannie Mae(FNM) and Freddie Mac(FRE). This has been one of the longest short squeezes in history."

Agrium(AGU): Agrium plans to make nominations to the board of CF Industries(CF) in its latest attempt at a takeover of the company.

On his Nov. 17 "Mad Money" show, Cramer named agriculture as the sector primed to break out next. Monsanto(MON) was his top recommendation, and he recommended fertilizer stocks Potash(POT), Mosaic(MOS) and Agrium.

RF Micro Devices(RFMD): UBS upgraded RF Micro to buy from hold with a $5.50 price target, citing decreased debt and improving cash flow.

In his Nov. 11 "Lightning Round" segment, Cramer said RF Micro was "way too cheap."

Guess?(GES): Guess? hit another 52-week high today after reporting a strong third quarter earlier in the week.
