NEW YORK (TheStreet) -- Here's what Jim Cramer had to say about some of the stocks that callers offered up during the "Mad Money Lightning Round" Monday evening.

CIENA (CIEN Quote): "I urge you to get the research on this company. I think this stock at $12 is ridiculously cheap. "

Vimpel Communications (VIP Quote): "No, that's Russia, and it's too risky. Verizon (VZ Quote) and AT&T (T Quote) are starting to run right now. I'd swap out of yours and into those two."

Novartis AG (NVS Quote): "I think this is a great company, but it's had a big run. I would sell Novartis and pick up some Sanofi-Aventis (SNY Quote) which has a better yield and more growth."
