NEW YORK (TheStreet) -- Who would dare say that Warren Buffett makes bad investments? Certainly, Berkshire Hathway's(BRK.A Quote) focus on financials and insurers took a toll on shareholders after the credit meltdown, but the recent acquisition of Burlington Northern(BNI Quote) and Buffett's bet on the U.S. economic recovery have put the Oracle of Omaha back in the spotlight with investors.
If Buffett is betting on a U.S. recovery, which recent stock picks in the Berkshire Hathway portfolio will gain? Last week, Berkshire revealed its latest portfolio update: doubling its stake in Wal-mart(WMT Quote); adding stakes in Exxon Mobile(XOM Quote) and Nestle(NSRGY Quote); and ditching shares of Moody's(MCO Quote) and ConocoPhillips(COP Quote). In response, we asked readers of TheStreet.com in a poll this week to evaluate the stock picks of Benjamin Graham's star pupil: Which bet among the biggest made by Berkshire in the latest quarterly period -- all big global brands positioned to weather market gyrations -- was the shrewdest?| Stockpickr Tools Warren Buffett's Portfolio |
