Stock quotes in this article: CVC , CRM , KMB , FDX , UNP

BOSTON (TheStreet) -- Major U.S. indices climbed yesterday on better-than-expected October retail sales and positive comments from Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke. Here are five stocks that hit 52-week highs.

5. Cablevision(CVC Quote) jumped 4.3% to $26.17. Cablevision just launched iO Search, allowing customers to search across channels and on-demand programs.

Our take: We rate Cablevision "hold." Third-quarter profit more than tripled to $99 million, or 33 cents a share, as revenue grew 5% to $1.8 billion. Cablevision's gross margin rose from 58% to 60%, and its operating margin expanded from 17% to 21%. A quick ratio of 0.5 indicates weak liquidity. The balance sheet houses $12 billion of debt and just $532 million of cash. Cablevision is cheaper than cable and satellite peers based on projected earnings, sales and cash flow.
