CHICAGO (TheStreet) -- Boeing(BA Quote) has received orders for 11 737-800 jets from two Algerian airlines.
The orders are the first that Boeing has tallied at the Dubai Airshow. Its rival, Airbus, has announced plans orders each day since the airshow opened Sunday. Air Algerie ordered seven of the airplanes, while Tassili Airlines ordered the other four, Boeing said in press releases Tuesday. A value of the orders wasn't disclosed. The company said it has more than 2,100 unfilled orders for the next-generation 737 valued at more than $158 billion at current list prices. -- Reported by Joseph Woelfel in New York .
