Las Vegas Sands Starts Repaying Macau

HONG KONG (TheStreet) -- Las Vegas Sands(LVS Quote) will begin making payments for its Macau property, according to a Securities and Exchange filing.
The casino operator will repay Macau's government $90 million for the land, referred to as parcels five and six, in which it is building its newest casino, according to a Securities and Exchange filing. The land will total $233.5 million. The company will have until the first quarter of 2012 to finish development of the site. It is currently in the first phase of development, which is expects to complete by the middle of next year.
