EAST HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) — Jet engine maker Pratt & Whitney said Monday it has delivered an F-16 engine as part of a $150 million deal to supply 22 engines to the Pakistani air force.
The delivery, made at the Dubai Air show in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, is part of the F100-PW-229 engine enhancement package engine, which offers the Pakistani air force a lower total cost of ownership, said Pratt & Whitney, a subsidiary of United Technologies Corp. Pratt & Whitney, based in East Hartford, Conn., delivered the first Pakistani air force F100-PW-229 engine this week. The engine program is scheduled for delivery this year and in 2010.
