OptionsXpress October Volume Declines 20 Percent

CHICAGO (AP) OptionsXpress Holdings Inc., a provider of brokerage services for equity options and futures trading, said Wednesday that customer trading volume declined in October, although total client assets increased.
Retail daily average revenue trades were 32,500 in October, down 20 percent from the same month last year. Total client assets increased 32 percent to $6.2 billion. Client assets at the end of October were 2 percent lower than they were at the end of September. OptionsXpress had 347,100 accounts at the end of the month, 12 percent more than the same time last year and 1 percent more than the end of September.
