FBI Investigating Threat Against Rep. Baird

VANCOUVER, Wash. (AP) — The FBI is investigating a death threat against U.S. Rep. Brian Baird.

U.S. Capitol Police spokeswoman Sgt. Kimberly Schneider told The Vancouver Columbian the federal agency has taken over the case.

During the health care debate in August, Baird said on MSNBC that disruptions at town hall meetings reminded him of the atmosphere that led to the 1995 Oklahoma City bombing.

Four days later, someone called Baird's Washington, D.C., office and left a message that there was a Ryder truck with his name on it.
