Apple Inc rose $2.42 or 1.3 percent, to $193.23.

Dell Inc rose $.14 or 1.0 percent, to $14.72.

Hewlett Packard rose $.63 or 1.3 percent, to $48.39.

IBM rose $1.08 or .9 percent, to $122.37.

Lexmark rose $.10 or .4 percent, to $25.75.
