NEW YORK (TheStreet) -- The markets ended mixed Wednesday after the Federal Reserve left interest rates unchanged.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 30.23, or 0.31%, to 9,802.14, while the S&P 500 added 1.09, or 0.10%, to 1,046.50. The Nasdaq fell 1.80, or 0.09%, to 2,055.52. The Fed decided to leave its record-low benchmark interest rate alone. The Institute for Supply Management reported continuing improvement in the service sector, while the ADP National Employment Report said that job losses in the private sector declined for the seventh consecutive month.
