Harsco Gets More Than $100M Services Contract

HARRISBURG, Pa. (AP) — A unit of industrial services company Harsco Corp. has been awarded a 10-year, more than $100 million contract to provide onsite services at a major steelworks in Italy, the company said Friday.

Harsco will provide onsite slag transport and slag processing at Italy's second largest steel producer, Lucchini Piombino.

Harsco Metals expects to begin work in the second half of 2010. This is a new location for Harsco Metal, which builds a range of steel products for the infrastructure and construction industries.

Shares of Harsco fell $1.25, or 3.8 percent, to $31.53.
