Northrop Grumman Gets $5.7M Navy Deal

WASHINGTON (AP) — Northrop Grumman Corp. received a $26.6 million contract from Navy to build and deliver four radar systems used on ships, the Pentagon said late Friday.

The radar systems provides the capability to detect and track low-flying, high-speed, small radar cross section anti-ship missile targets, according to the government notice.

Work will be performed in Melville, N.Y., Norwalk, Conn., and Baltimore, Md., and is expected to be completed by April 2011.

Shares of the Los Angeles, company fell 45 cents to close at $50.13.
