Cramer told a viewer that gold stocks should be part of portfolio but should never represent more than 10% of it.

Cramer told a second viewer that he's not a fan of STEC (STEC) in the technology patch. He said he'd be a seller.

World Without Oil

In a second interview, Cramer spoke with Jeff Rubin, former chief economist for CIBC World Markets, and author of his new book, Why Your World Is About To Get A Whole Lot Smaller. According to Rubin, the world is running out of oil and natural gas, a trend that will reverse globalization and change our world forever.

Rubin said that our country is likely to see triple-digit oil prices in the next five to 12 months, as the world is simply unable to produce enough of the oil we can afford to burn. He also said that the hopes of a substantial supply of cheap oil from Canada's oil sands, is proving to use too much natural gas to produce.

When pressed about the huge amounts of natural gas available right here in the U.S., Rubin said that the problem is that natural gas will simply not be ready in the timeframe we'll need it.

Rubin did offer a glimmer of hope, however. He said as oil prices rise and gasoline returns to $3.50 and $4 a gallon, the world will just need to switch from a global economy, which is very oil intensive, back to a more local economy, which will be much more energy efficient.
