TEWKSBURY, Mass. (AP) — Raytheon Co. received an $81.1 million Navy contract for an undersea warfare sensor for the Navy's MH-60R multi-mission helicopter, the company said Wednesday.
In recent testing, the system was deployed as the primary anti-submarine warfare sensor on the helicopter and was responsible for defending surface ships before the submarines could come within range to launch attacks. According to Raytheon, the Navy said the system successfully engaged all submarine targets over a three-day period. Shares of the Waltham, Mass., company fell 41 cents to close at $45.61.- Loading Comments...
