The PowerShares QQQ(QQQQ Quote) is trading down slightly this morning after a down day yesterday. ... We are closing in on the 50-day moving average on the daily chart and will either bounce, which would indicate we are in another pullback, or not, which would mean we have turned into a bearish downtrend. ... I will be watching for 41.50 to hold on the QQQQ...

Apollo Group(APOL Quote) will be interesting off the first bottom; it is up from $57.50 after disappointing earnings last night. ... It is currently up to $61.00, so there are interested buyers. ... It can move up to $64 and recover much like we saw with Baidu(BIDU Quote) yesterday...

2. Treasury Market Flat

Treasury bonds are opening flat with the 10-year Treasury at a yield of 3.45%. Despite steep equity losses in both Asia and Europe, Treasuries were mostly weaker overnight, trading as high as 3.47%, but never touching the 3.48% support level. The market rallied back to 3.45% late in the European session and has been there ever since.
