Miss. Foundation Breaks Ground On Building Project
JACKSON, Miss. (AP) — The Jackson State University Development Foundation, Inc., has broken ground on a multimillion-dollar construction project that will include luxury apartments and retail space.
Officials say One University Place will be located adjacent to the JSU campus, and begin the community revitalization of an underserved neighborhood between the JSU campus and downtown Jackson. When complete, the University Place neighborhood is expected to include 300 homes for moderate-income families, 50,000 square feet of retail space and more than 300 rental apartments, totaling over $150 million in development. Foundation Chairman Leland Speed says the project is a collaboration of the foundation, Trustmark National Bank and the city of Jackson.- Loading Comments...
