LDK Solar Lifts Revenue Guidance

XINYU CITY, China (TheStreet) - LDK Solar (LDK Quote), a maker of solar wafers, raised its third-quarter revenue forecast to above the estimate of analysts.

LDK said Tuesday it expects third-quarter revenue of $270 million to $290 million, and raised its outlook for wafer shipments to between 310 megawatts to 330 MW. LDK's prior guidance for the third quarter was revenue of $240 million to $270 million, and wafer shipments of 260 MW to 300 MW.

LDK also said it sees module shipments of 5 MW to 10 MW.

Analysts surveyed by Thomson Reuters estimated third-quarter revenue of $249.9 million.
