Modine Manufacturing Closing Kentucky Plant

RACINE, Wis. (AP) — Modine Manufacturing Co., which makes heaters and air conditioners for cars and trucks, said Thursday it will close a factory in Kentucky that employs about 110 people.

The 253,452 square-foot Harrodsburg plant will be closed over the next six to nine months and its work transferred to other Modine facilities.

Workers at the Harrodsburg plant make radiators, round tube plate fin heat exchangers and heating, ventilation and air conditioning modules for the commercial vehicle and off-highway markets.

Shares closed down 24 cents, or 2.5 percent, to $9.39.
