Integral Systems Backs 2009 Guidance

COLUMBIA, Md. (AP) — Satellite systems maker Integral Systems Inc. on Monday backed its fiscal year profit prediction and issued a prediction for fiscal 2010.

Integral said it still expects to post a fiscal 2009 profit of about 15 cents per share. The company plans to release its full results for fiscal 2009, which ended on Sept. 27, in early December.

For the 2010 fiscal year, Integral said it expects to post a profit of 35 cents to 40 cents per share on $170 million to $174 million in revenue.

The company attributed the projected profit increase to expectations of higher gross margin product sales and lower selling, general, and administrative expenses as a percent of sales.

Revenue is expected to increase between 5 percent and 7 percent above fiscal 2009 levels. The company also expects its earnings to get a boost from ongoing efforts to cut operating costs and the elimination of one-time charges.

Shares of Integral Systems rose 34 cents, or 4.5 percent, to $7.98 in early trading.
