Affiliated Computer Services Gets $4.5M Contract

DALLAS (AP) — Outsourcing company Affiliated Computer Services Inc. said Wednesday it received a $4.5 million contract to develop and maintain a health information exchange in Kentucky.

The Kentucky Health Information Exchange will allow electronic medical data to be exchanged between hospitals, healthcare practitioners and the Kentucky Department for Medicaid Services.

Data includes laboratory and image reports, medication histories, allergy histories, past medical diagnoses, hospital stays and immunizations.
