Lance Completes Acquisition Of Stella D'oro Brand

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) — Snack foods maker Lance Inc. said Tuesday that it closed on its acquisition of the Stella D'oro specialty cookie brand.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Lance purchased the brand, as well as some manufacturing equipment and inventory, from Stella D'oro Biscuit Co. with funds from its credit agreements. Stella D'oro products include cookies, breadsticks and biscotti. Shares of Lance, which sells Cape Cod potato chips and private-label snacks, shed 22 cents to $25.60 in afternoon trading.- Loading Comments...
