ORLANDO, Fla. (TheStreet) -- Since 2004, German-based conglomerate Siemens(SI Quote) has steadily climbed its way near the top of the North American wind-turbine heap, becoming the region's third largest supplier.
As proof, the company detailed its collage of North American wind turbine orders over the past month, totaling 565 megawatts of capacity and $900 million. According to a press release issued this morning, the orders cut across a wide swath in Canada and the U.S. In Ontario, 44 units of 2.3 megawatt wind turbines were ordered for Kruger Energy's Chatham wind farm, while another 22 units were set for the Brookfield Renewable Power Fund-owned Gosfield wind farm.- Loading Comments...
