Harman International Expands In Hungary

SZEKESFEHERVAR, Hungary (AP) — Harman International Industries Inc. said Friday it is expanding its manufacturing operations in Hungary, creating 258 new jobs.
The maker of audio and other equipment for the automotive and consumer markets said it was expanding its Harman/Becker Automotive Systems Kft unit in Szekesfehervar with the help of a grant from the Hungarian government that provides for tax credits over a five-year period. The expansion includes construction of a new 12,000 square-meter plant to produce acoustic and electronics modules for autos and will create an estimated 258 new jobs. Harman provides premium systems to numerous global automakers including BMW, Audi, Mercedes, Porsche, Volvo and Ford.
