Morning Playbook: Dividend.com

The market appears set for an uneventful first hour, but there have been lots of gains this week that traders will likely feel good about and may elect to play the tape a bit tighter than usual today. Here are some of the names that may lead the active stocks list.

Monsanto(MON): Stock is trading down on a potential U.S. antitrust investigation.

Bristol-Myers Squibb(BMY): Wells Fargo initiates stock with an outperform. $25-$27 price target range.

Bally Technologies(BYI): Janney Montgomery Scott initiates stock with a buy rating. $50 price target.

Cree(CREE): JPMorgan initiates stock with an overweight rating. $45 price target.

FirstMerit(FMER): Oppenheimer upgrades stock to a perform rating.

Google(GOOG): Credit Suisse raises price target to $600.

IBM(IBM): Barclays Capital raises price target to $140.

Insituform Technologies(INSU): Janney Montgomery Scott reiterates buy rating. $22 price target.

Johnson Controls(JCI): Barclays Capital raises price target to $30.

JPMorgan Chase(JPM): Raymond James initiates stock with a strong buy.

KLA-Tencor(KLAC): Credit Suisse raises estimates. $35 price target.

Liz Claiborne(LIZ): Credit Suisse raises price target to $6.

Motorola(MOT): Citigroup raises price target to $9.

NetApp(NTAP): Barclays Capital raises estimates. $31 price target.

Nu Skin Enterprises(NUS): Jefferies raises stock to a buy.

Lam Research(LRCX): Credit Suisse raises estimates and price target to $41.

LSI(LSI): Barclays Capital raises stock to an equal-weight. $6 price target.

Research In Motion(RIMM): Robert Baird upgrades stock to an outperform. $84 price target.

Spectra Energy(SE): Goldman Sachs raises stock to a "conviction buy".

Stewart Enterprises(STEI): Soleil Securities initiates coverage with a buy. $6.50 price target.

USANA Health Sciences(USNA): Jefferies upgrades stock to a buy.

Viacom(VIA-B): Piper Jaffray raises stock to an outperform. $35 price target.

Assurant(AIZ): SunTrust Robinson Humphrey cuts stock to a neutral rating.

Gold(GLD): Gold prices are lower but prices have had a big gain this week.

Oil(USO): Oil prices are slightly lower this morning.

Treasuries(TLT): Bond prices are lower this morning and are down for the week.

What's the Trade?

There are few catalysts to key on so far this morning, but the Google upgrade is one gauge certainly to watch. The market may be in for another consolidation day as we get set for earnings season to ramp up next week. I will be back with some ideas in my next post.
