Dana Sells Goldman 5.1 Million Additional Shares

MAUMEE, Ohio (AP) — Auto-parts supplier Dana Holding Corp. said Tuesday an underwriter of its recent public offering has exercised an option to buy 5.1 million more shares.

The sale to Goldman Sachs & Co. closed Tuesday and yielded net proceeds of about $32.6 million, the company said.

Goldman had been granted a customary 30-day overallotment option to buy up to 5.1 million shares as part of Dana's 34-million-share public offering, which closed Sept. 29.

Shares of Dana rose 37 cents, or 5.8 percent, to close at $6.72. They gained 28 cents, or 4 percent, to $7 in after-hours trading.
