Aecom Gets $375M Contract For Africa Work

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Technical and management consultant Aecom Technology Corp. said on Tuesday that it has gotten a five-year, $375 million contract for the Africa Peacekeeping Program.

The company said the peacekeeping program, or AFRICAP, is the main support services contract used by the U.S. State Department's Bureau of African Affairs. Contractors provide military training, advice, equipment purchasing, logistical support services and construction services.

Aecom shares fell 20.5 cents to about $26.19 in afternoon trading.
