RPM International Inc., down 8 cents at $18 The coatings and sealants maker<s first-quarter profit climbed, driven by earnings strength in its consumer segment and expense cuts. Bank of America Corp., up 62 cents at $16.96 The bank reportedly plans to select an emergency CEO this week in case Ken Lewis steps down before the end of the year. Dow Chemical Co., up $1.24 at $24.87 An analyst said the chemical manufacturing giant's electronics business has improved and the coatings business has stabilized. Plantronics Inc., up $2.16 at $26.93 An analyst upgraded the headset maker<s stock after it said it will sell its Altec Lansing audio speaker business for $18 million. NASDAQ: Mellanox Technologies Ltd., up 99 cents at $17.14 The chip designer, which will report third-quarter results on Oct. 21, raised its projections for sales, gross margin and expenses. MKS Instruments Inc., up 33 cents at $19.10 The company raised its third-quarter earnings and revenue guidance and said chip sales and equipment utilization rates are climbing.
