BioDelivery Seeks Canadian BEMA Fentanyl Approval

RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) — BioDelivery Sciences International Inc. said Friday it asked Canadian regulators to approve the cancer pain drug BEMA Fentanyl, which is marketed as Onsolis in the U.S.

The Food and Drug Administration approved the drug in July. BioDelivery said the Canadian trade name for the drug is still being determined.

Shares of BioDelivery fell 17 cents, or 3.5 percent, to $4.68 in morning trading. The stock has traded between $2.08 and $8.29 over the last 52 weeks.
