'Fast Money' Portfolios of the Week

Stock quotes in this article:XOM, BIIB, QCOM

Fast Money's Options Action: The traders have noticed some unusual options activity in a number of stocks. On Tuesday's "Fast Money" show, Pete Najarian told viewers: "High volumes of November 55 call buying suggests that Biogen Idec(BIIB) could make a share move higher. The activity stems from speculation that the firm could be a takeover target." The Fast Money's Options Action portfolio includes Visa(V) and Moody's(MCO).

Fast Money's Biotech Takeover Plays: Investors are sniffing around the biotech complex for the next big M&A deals. How should you play it? On Monday's "Fast Money" show, Bernstein senior biotech analyst Geoff Porges told viewers: "There are a lot of companies that look interesting. Biotech stocks have underperformed the market and the group should be well positioned going forward." The Fast Money's Biotech Takeover Plays portfolio includes Dendreon(DNDN) and Seattle Genetic(SGEN).

Fast Money's Trash to Treasure Stocks: The traders have spotted opportunity in a number of S&P losers that could quickly transform into winners. On last Tuesday's "Fast Money" show, Gary Kaminsky, former managing director at Neuberger Berman told viewers: "My guess is that you're going to see significant outperformance in these names from Oct. 1 through the end of the fourth quarter. They look like solid companies at bargain basement prices." The Fast Money's Trash to Treasure Stocks portfolio includes SunTrust(STI).

Fast Money's Slow Money Stock Trades: The traders think it's time to start looking at "buy-and-hold" plays as the market starts to embrace that strategy once again. On last Friday's "Fast Money" show, Guy Adami told viewers: "Qualcomm(QCOM) is trading in a band between $32 and $52. Valuations look fair. I can't say it's going up tomorrow but for the long-term it looks good." The Fast Money's Slows Money Stock Trades portfolio includes PG&E(PCG).
