Vodafone to Sell iPhone in U.K., Ireland

LONDON (TheStreet) -- Vodafone(VOD Quote) said Tuesday it would begin selling Apple's(AAPL Quote) iPhone in the U.K. and Ireland beginning in early 2010.

France Telecom's (FTE Quote) Orange announced a similar deal Monday, but Orange will begin selling the iPhone earlier, before Christmas this year.

The iPhone was sold exclusively in the U.K. the last two years by Telefonica's(TEF Quote) O2.
