FedEx Appoints Waste Management CEO To Board
MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) FedEx Corp. shareholders on Monday elected Waste Management Inc. CEO David Steiner of Waste Management Inc. to its board of directors for a one-year term.
Steiner will join the board as part of its audit committee. Steiner also serves on the board of Tyco Electronics Ltd. FedEx's board also re-elected 11 other director nominees for one-year terms. It also approved Ernst & Young LLP as FedEx's independent auditor for fiscal 2010. The board did not approve any of four stockholder proposals, which included a proposal that the chairman of the board be an independent director who has not previously served in an executive office at FedEx. Shares of FedEx added $2.49, or 3.4 percent, to close at $75.87.- Loading Comments...
