NEW YORK (AP) The following stocks were among those that moved substantially or traded heavily Wednesday on the New York Stock Exchange and Nasdaq Stock Market: NYSE: Red Hat Inc., up $3.07 to $27.95. Shares of the low-cost Linux software distributor hit a 12-month high after a jump in subscription revenue boosted quarterly earnings. AnnTaylor Stores Corp., down 72 cents to $15.56. A 90 percent jump in shares since late July led Goldman Sachs to downgrade the women's apparel retailer, but she increased estimates. Hovnanian Enterprises Inc., down 30 cents to $4.17. Existing home sales unexpectedly dropped in August, and a Citigroup analyst said stock prices for homebuilders are too high. Rite Aid Corp., down 24 cents to $1.71.- Loading Comments...
