Warm Up in $52M Ski Home: Unreal Estate

The peak of Whistler's market is somewhat less lofty at $14 million, but its premier property, Stonecliff Falls at the base of Whistler Mountain, is no less grand than its neighbors to the south. On a cliff overlooking its neighbors six stories below, Stonecliff Falls and its comparatively modest 4,700 square feet hide a full elevator, a 15-camera security system, a three-story indoor waterfall, three fireplaces, two steam rooms, a hot tub and a regular tub with a spectacular view of the mountain. If the cost frightens you, just think about how much you could charge foreign guests to stay at your home when the 2010 Winter Olympics are going on right outside your window.

You won't get to see Bode Miller whizzing by your house if you choose a $5.95 million estate in Woodstock, Vt., but you will get two homes for the price of one.
