Dell to Buy Perot Systems for $3.9B

ROUND ROCK, Texas (TheStreet) -- Dell (DELL Quote) said Monday it reached an agreement to acquire Perot Systems (PER Quote) for about $3.9 billion, or $30 a share.

The offer is a premium of about 68% to Perot's closing price Friday of $17.91.

The boards of both companies approved the deal Sunday.
