CDC To Add 2 New Outsourcing Offices In India

NEW YORK (AP) — A unit of Chinese business software company CDC Corp. said Friday it plans to open two new offices in India as part of an expansion of its business process outsourcing operations.

CDC Global Services, which provides information technology services, said it is opening offices in Mumbai and Pune, adding 450 more seats to its operations. It did not disclose the cost of the expansion.

The company said it has received 10 new business process outsourcing contracts in the third quarter and plans eventually to have more than 2,000 seats in its India operations.

Shares of CDC rose 8 cents, or 3 percent, to $2.77 in midday trading.
