SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — Digital Realty Trust Inc. said Thursday it has acquired a 60 percent interest in a joint venture in a Dallas area redevelopment project intended to increase its data center property offerings to tenant customers.

The real estate investment trust did not disclose financial terms of the deal involving the 69-acre project in Richardson, Texas.

Formerly known as Collins Technology Park, the new Digital Realty Trust Datacenter Park-Dallas includes seven buildings totaling about 797,000 square feet. The property also has several developable land sites and a private power substation with 40 megawatts of electricity that can be boosted to 125 megawatts.

The park can support powered base buildings, or facilities available to firms seeking to build and operate data centers using their own personnel. The buildings are equipped with power and access to voice and data transmission.

Shares of the San Francisco company fell 98 cents, or 2 percent, to $45.76.
