PG&E Elects 2 New Board Members
SAN FRANCISCO (AP) PG&E Corp. said Wednesday it has elected two new board members.
The San Francisco-based utility said Lewis Chew and Rosendo G. Parra have joined the PG&E corporate board and that of its subsidiary, Pacific Gas and Electric Co. Chew, 46, is the chief financial officer of National Semiconductor Corp. With 25 years of experience in finance, accounting, and auditing, Chew will provide "a valuable perspective to our boards at a time when PG&E is pursuing vital and extensive capital investments on behalf of customers and shareholders," PG&E CEO Peter A. Darbee said in a statement. Parra, 49, is a partner and co-founder of Daylight Partners in Austin, Texas, a technology-focused venture capital firm that provides funding and operating expertise to mid-stage companies. Prior to that, Parra spent 14 years at Dell Inc. in various executive positions. Darbee said Parra's knowledge of the technology sector will help the PG&E as technology continues to re-shape the energy industry and present new opportunities. PG&E shares rose 56 cents, or 1.4 percent to close Wednesday at $40.98. They have traded between $26.67 and $42.80 in the past year.- Loading Comments...
