Arrow Electronics Gets Distribution Deal

MELVILLE, N.Y. (AP) — Electronics and computer products distributor Arrow Electronics Inc. said Tuesday it entered into a new distribution agreement with AU Optronics Corp. for the company's flat-panel displays.

Financial terms were not disclosed.

The displays are used in the medical device, aerospace and defense, kiosk and digital display industries, Arrow said.

Under the agreement, Arrow can offer its customers a wider variety of flat-panel technologies with various display solutions, while Taiwan-based AU Optronics will be supported by Arrow's lineup of design and engineering services within its OEM Computing Solutions group.

Arrow shares rose 57 cents, or 2 percent, to $28.96 in midday trading.
