CA To Buy NetQoS For $200 Million

ISLANDIA, N.Y. (AP) — Software maker CA Inc. said Monday it has agreed to buy privately held NetQoS Inc. for $200 million in cash.

CA said the acquisition of NetQoS, which makes software for managing computer networks, will strengthen its software products for information technology and service providers.

In a statement, NetQoS CEO Joel Trammell said the company's customers will gain from CA's "development capabilities, outstanding sales force, and global customer support infrastructure."

CA shares rose 16 cents to $22.75 in morning trading.
