TULSA, Okla. (AP) — Dollar Thrifty Automotive Group Inc. said Tuesday that it has closed about 115 of its corporate-owned locations since Oct. 1, 2008 and plans to close about another 10 before the end of the year.

The closures are part of the rental car company's ongoing plan to boost profitability through the closures of underperforming locations.

The locations closed so far represented about 4 percent of Dollar Thrifty's 2008 rental revenue and operated an average fleet of about 5,500 vehicles.

Dollar Thrifty said it didn't incur any significant restructuring charges in conjunction with the closures and doesn't expect any related restructuring charges down the road.
